Educational initiatives were held on the occasion of Earth Day

This year, the Central Balkan National Park Directorate celebrated Earth Day through educational activities for the little ones. On April 22, 26 and 29, experts from the Parks Directorate visited the Radost kindergarten in the town of Sevlievo, the Raicho Karolev elementary school and the Neofit Rilski elementary school in the town of Gabrovo.

Draft of the Annual Plan for the use of medicinal plants in the Central Balkan National Park for 2024 has been announced

The plan is drawn up in accordance with the Protected Areas Low and aims to regulate and administer the use of medicinal plants on the territory of the Central Balkan National Park, under so as not to allow damage to the natural habitats and species where the collection is carried out, creating prerequisites for the development of an environmentally friendly livelihood of the population.

Today we celebrate Earth Day! Each year, the EARTHDAY.ORG platform coordinates events around the world to demonstrate global support for the environmental movement. Planet vs. Plastics is the theme of this year's campaign.

The 16th edition of the Ambassadors of Health National Student Competition begins.

The competition is held on the initiative of the Ministry of Health to support the healthy lifestyle of young people. Its purpose is the prevention of behavioral and health risk factors related to unhealthy eating, low physical activity, alcohol use and smoking.

Within the framework of the Week of the Forest in the period April 1-5, the Central Balkan National Park Directorate presented an exhibition in the building of the community center in the village of Anton of the winning works from the children's drawing competition "Four Seasons in the Central Balkan" 2023.

Offenders with a long-barreled firearm were caught on the territory of the Central Balkan National Park

Upon a signal from the Director of the Central Balkan National Park Directorate, a search was conducted by employees of the Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Troyan, during which it was established that two persons had brought a long-barreled firearm into the territory of the Central Balkan National Park.

Today we celebrate the 45th anniversary of the declaration of the Stenetto Reserve.

In 1962 it was declared a national park, it was recategorized into a reserve in 1979. With an area of almost 3,600 hectares, the reserve is the second largest in the Central Balkan National Park after Dzhendema.

Today we celebrate International Bird Day. The decision to declare it a special date was made on December 6, 1906 under the Convention for the Protection of Rare Birds.
