Monitoring the brown bear species

In July, field work on the project "Monitoring the Brown Bear Species" is expected to begin in the mountainous regions of our country. The three directorates of the national parks - "Pirin", "Rila" and "Central Balkan" and five of the six state forestry enterprises.

The search and capture of the predator within the boundaries of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park continues

For another day, the Director of the Central Balkan National Park Directorate (CBNP) Georgi Krastev and specialists from the Directorate are assisting in the search and capture of the wild animal from the Cat family, which was filmed on the territory of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park.

Together with students from Gabrovo we celebrated World Environment Day

On Environment Day, June 5, 44 children from the “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” Primary School in Gabrovo visited the Green Classroom of the Central Balkan National Park, where two of the Directorate’s experts, through various eco-games, enriched their knowledge about the main pollutants in nature, possible ways to beat them and protect the environment.
