Reserve "Elenova Gora" turns 64 yaers

n today's date - August 30, in 1961, the reserve "Elenova Gora" was declared. It is located in the Central Balkan Mountains in the Kalofer Mountains, outside the Central Balkan National Park (NBNP), near its eastern border.

A working meeting with pasture users in the Park was held in the Park office

On August 18, a meeting with users of pastures in the Park and citizens was held at the Central Office of the Directorate of the Central Balkan National Park in Gabrovo. The topic of the meeting concerned the processes of assessing the pasture resource, which are the basis for planning future uses.

The movement, stay and parking of motor vehicles of all classes, on the road Tabite Hotel - Botev Peak (parking lot on Botev Peak) is temporarily prohibited.

The introduced ban does not apply to vehicles of the Ministry of Environment, as well as to other vehicles with a special traffic regime when performing official duties and contractors of construction and installation works.

CBNPD officers detained a poacher in the Sokolna reserve after an operation

Due to violations and increased reports of poaching in the area of the Sokolna hut, on the orders of Georgi Krastev, Director of the Central Balkan National Park Directorate (CBNPD), measures have been taken in the area for daily patrolling and surveillance by park guards.
