Annual Plan for the Sustainable Harvest of Medicinal Plants in Central Balkan National Park Approved for 2026

From 20 July to 31 August 2026, the annual medicinal plant and wild fruit harvesting season is open within Central Balkan National Park.
Applications are required for the commercial harvesting of medicinal plants and wild fruits. The application forms can be accessed HERE.
No application is required for personal-use harvesting. The maximum quantities permitted per person per day are:
- up to 3 kg of wild fruits;
- up to 2 kg of aerial parts (stem);
- up to 1 kg of leaves;
- up to 0.5 kg of flowers.
Please note that the collection of medicinal plants and wild fruits is strictly prohibited within the reserves located in Central Balkan National Park.
