By Order No. RD 215 of March 6, 2026 of the Minister of Environment and Water, published in the State Gazette No. 28 of March 20, 2026, entered under number 2 in the State Register of Protected Areas in the "national park" category at the Ministry of Environment and Water (MOEW), the area of the Central Balkan National Park was updated to 717,571.549 decares.
