On December 15, 10 children from the Climate and Me club at the St. St. Cyril and Methodius High School of the city of Gabrovo, visited the educational and information center of The Central Balkan National Park Directorate.

Experts from the Directorate gave the children a lecture related to the types of protected areas, the reason for their creation, the specifics of each one of them and their importance for the protection of biodiversity in Bulgaria and globally.
Another topic touched on was wildlife monitoring, how and when to do it, the means used and the resource required to do it.
The experts also answered other questions that the children asked them, which were outside the topic of the lecture.
The children were able to get acquainted with the specific characteristics of some animals, as well as with the technique used by park officials for monitoring and tracking wild animals.
