The Central Balkan National Park Directorate Visits Kindergarten ‘Osmi Mart’ – Troyan

An expert from the Central Balkan National Park Directorate visited the children of Kindergarten “Osmi Mart” in the town of Troyan. Thirteen children from the kindergarten’s fourth group had the opportunity to learn more about the National Park.
The park ranger had prepared various eco‑games through which the children were able to gain new knowledge about nature while having fun at the same time. During the this lesson, the kids learned about wild animals and their tracks, and they discovered how difficult it is to survive in the mountains during winter. They studied trees and forests, the balance in nature, and why it is important to preserve it.
They also learned one of the main rules they must follow when they are out in nature in order to keep it in its natural state — “the trash stays in the backpack”! And last but not least, they had the chance to understand the role of the people who work in protected areas and why their work is so important.
