The collection of medicinal plants, mushrooms and wild fruits is temporarily suspended in part of the collection massifs in the NP "Central Balkan"

In relation with the need to prevent disturbance during the mating period and seasonal migrations of animal species from Annexes No. 2 and 3 of the Biodiversity Act and from the Management Plan of the Central Balkan National Park (red deer, wild goat, brown bear , European wolf), as well as in order to prevent the occurrence of fires with a danger to the life and health of visitors and irreversible damage to natural habitats and species, by Order of the Director of the Park Directorate the activities of collecting medicinal plants, herbs, wild growing fruits and mushrooms specified in Appendix No. 3.2.2. Medicinal plants/ herbs and wild fruits, permitted to be collected in the Central Balkan National Park by the Management Plan of the CBNP, 2016 – 2025, for personal needs and as an economic activity are prohibited in the period 05.09.2024 – 15.10.2024 on the entire territory of the Central Balkan National Park, with the exception of:
1. The part of the collecting massif Beklemeto without land property 80981.136.189, Lovech district, Troyan municipality, Cherni Osam village (Order for approval of KKKR No. RD-18-47/01.06.2009), covering the treeless territories between Lokvata Peak and Bukova Mogila Peak, incl. the treeless watersheds of Malak and Golyam Chaushov Dol.
2. Collecting massif Skoka.
3. Collecting massif Vartopa.
It is prohibited to use motor vehicles (including ATVs and UTVs of all classes) outside the designated and designated roads and parking lots with free access from Appendix No. 3.2.3. from the National Park Management Plan, 2016 – 2025, used for the activities of collecting medicinal plants, herbs, wild fruits and mushrooms for personal needs and as an economic activity, in the collection areas authorized for collection.
