Together with students from Gabrovo we celebrated World Environment Day

On Environment Day, June 5, 44 children from the “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” Primary School in Gabrovo visited the Green Classroom of the Central Balkan National Park, where two of the Directorate’s experts, through various eco-games, enriched their knowledge about the main pollutants in nature, possible ways to beat them and protect the environment. The children showed good knowledge on the topic, actively participating in the discussions and enthusiastically taking on all the challenges addressed to them.
World Environment Day is the largest internationally celebrated day and is celebrated every year by millions of people from over 150 countries around the world. Every year, the focus is on various significant topics, such as pollution of nature, melting glaciers, forest ecosystems, loss of biodiversity, desertification, the role of man, etc., which have a direct impact on the world around us and on the quality of human life.
