We are celebrating the International Day of the Ranger with a celebration in the yard of the Natural History Museum in the village of Cherni Osam

For the fifth year, we will "step into the shoes of the rangers", protecting and preserving nature.On July 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Central Balkan National Park Directorate, together with the host Natural History Museum in the village of Cherni Osam and the National School for Mountain Guides, will offer various stations with activities, some of which are a climbing wall, cable car, adventure activities, research challenges, forest station, introduction to the biodiversity of the National Park and many more.
World Ranger Day is an initiative of the International Federation of Rangers. 2024 continues the "30 by 30" theme based on the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) of 2022. Goal 3 of the Convention outlines the requirement that at least 30 percent of the planet be effectively conserved and managed by 2030. ("30 by 30").
Ranger Day, first organized by the International Ranger Federation (IRF), is dedicated to the bravery and perseverance of those park employees who have given everything in the service of nature.
