What you need to know when visiting Central Balkan National Park

National parks preserve the country's most valuable natural resources and are examples of the world's natural heritage. They offer unique natural attractions and a huge variety of flora and fauna that are vulnerable to human activity.
Visiting rules:
Hiking is mainly encouraged in the park. The organization of mass events takes place only with the permission of the Directorate of the National Park.
The movement and parking of cars in the Park is regulated. If you want to move in the Central Balkans by car on a road with limited access regime, contact the staff at the nearest park office.
Crossing with bicycles, as well as horse tourism, is carried out only in the places permitted by the Management Plan.
For bivouacing and lighting fires, use only the places designated for this purpose, respecting the norms for the number of tents in the specific place.
The construction of auxiliary facilities, structures and fireplaces, as well as the use of sound and pyrotechnics, is not allowed.
Leave nothing behind that pollutes.
Cutting down trees and breaking branches is not allowed.
Cutting flowers is also not allowed, among them there are rare and endangered species.
Fishing and hunting, carrying and transporting long firearms, bows and crossbows are prohibited in the Park. Disturbing wildlife is prohibited.
Collecting and damaging fossils and rock formations is not permitted.
Entering the water areas is not allowed.
The collection of berries, mushrooms and medicinal plants takes place in the permitted places in the permitted quantity, without causing damage.
The mountain hides dangers. For greater safety, stick to the marked hiking trails and established traffic rules. Going beyond the marked and marked tourist routes in the reserves is prohibited.
Dog walking is allowed only on occasion.
Wildlife has a right to privacy. Preserve it in its natural state by using wisely your right to recreation and knowledge.
Protect the Park from fires. In 90% of cases, they are due to human inattention.

Violators of the regimes and norms valid on the territory of the national parks are subject to sanctions in the amount of BGN 500 to BGN 5,000 for an individual and up to BGN 10,000 for a legal entity.
