Jumruka peak is located in the central part of the Stara planina mountain. It is part of the National park Central Balkan. The Jumruka peak is 1818 meters high. The Jumruka peak is located near the “Echo” chalet, and to the west is the Vezhen peak. In the summer and in the spring the Jumruka peak is attractive place for many lovers of the hiking. The beauty of this place is unique. Its slopes are rich of blueberries.
In clear weather south of peak Jumruka one can see the Sredna Gora mountain and in the distance the Rila-Rhodope massif. Mountain peak Vassiliov is visible north of the Jumruka peak. The winter trail from the village of Rozino to mountain hut Eho is on the eastern side of the peak. The arch of the Troyan Pass, Kupenite and mountain peak Botev can be seen east of Jumruka in clear weather. A steel rope is placed on the northern slope of the Jumruka peak. It is a security measure on the trail between hut Eho and hut Vejen during the winter when the summer trail is not used due to avalanche danger.
There are many sports orienteering sites in the area – near mountain peak Kavladan, the path towards the village of Hristo Danovo, the path for the village of Rozino and many others.
Under the peak of Jumruka, on its northern side, friends of the mountain and hut Eho build a chapel, named St.Trinity. Organizer of the building is the hut keeper of Vasiliov – Nikolai Kiranov (hut Vasiliov is located at 2.5 hours on foot from the village of Shipkovo.
