The Ravnets peak

ABOUT THE PEAK
Ravnets is a side massif, divided from the main crest by the deeply cut valley of Stara Reka river. It is located between the two reserves – Dzhendema and Stara Reka. Its elevation comes to some 2000 m it is accessible from the chalets of Vasil Levski and Rai, as well as from the Ravnets hut. From this vast plateau beautiful panorama opens to the whole highest section of the Central Balkan – the peaks of Ambaritsa, Kupena, Krustcite, Kostenurkata, Zhultets and Botev are clearly visible. In spite of this, if the weather is unfavorable one should avoid hiking there – getting lost is not so difficult.
