Valchata Glava peak

The peak of Valchata Glava, better known under its Turkish name Kurtbashitsa is a part of the high watershed ridge, marked also by the peaks of Rosovatets, Zelenikovets and the sharp pyramid of the peak of Maragidik (Rusalka). To the North springs out Rositsa River – the main tributary of Yantra, while to the Southeast – Gabrovnitsa River originates, the latest marking the eastern boundary of the Central Balkan. The steep slopes of this “chain” are overgrown by beech forests, above them rise the severe rocky faces, cut by avalanche ravines. Valchata Glava forms the eastern boundary of Peeshti Skali reserve , in fact the rocks known as Peeshti Skali are a side rib of this picturesque peak. Address: Stokite Park Section
