Hut Pleven


Pleven hut is located in the site of Bazov Dyal below the peak of Botev, at an elevation of 1504 m. It was built in 1967 – 1971. It consists of two massive buildings and a separate wooden construction. It has 180 beds. It is supplied with electricity, water and central heating. From this place there is a gorgeous vista to the vertical northern rocks of Severen Dzhendem reserve and the peak of Botev, the northern slopes and ribs of the peaks of Mlechniya Chal and Zhultets.
Access points to the hut being:

  • Vidima (Apriltsi town) via the site of Kozarkata or the site of Mazaneto
  • Cherni Osam village via Yavorova laka hut


Pleven hut is an access point to the peak of Kostenurkata and the peak of Botev, as well as to the site of Vodnite Dupki. Section of the latter trail falls within the Severen Dzhendem reserve. The hiking here should be limited to the marked trail. The collection of mushrooms, forest fruits, herbs, the picking up of flowers and the bothering of wild animals is not allowed.
