The mineral water of the “Momina salza” spring is poorly mineralized. It contains many microelements such as manganese, zinc, cobalt, copper and other “metal vitamins”. This is the most delicious of all the mineral waters in the town of Hissar.
Its water is only used for bathing and is especially suitable for skin diseases.
The mineral water of the “Momina banya” spring has the highest radon content and a temperature of 47 degrees, which makes it exceptionally good for the treatment of kidney-urological diseases and diseases of the locomotory system.
The parks are the most beautiful things in the town of Hissar. The Swiss engineer Louis Shevalas who created the first park in the town of Hissar, initiated the beginning of the park design process in Bulgaria in 1892.
The “Momina Salza” park takes up the area around mineral spring Momina Salza. This is the oldest park in the town of Hissar.
Various fish species such as carp, sheat-fish and trout are bread in the dam. By the side of the dam there are picnic sites and there can be organized family outings, strolls with friends and barbecue.
Dam “Rakovitsa” is located 25 km away from the town of Hissar and just 1 km away from the famous all over the world Thracian cult temple in the village of Starossel.
Golyamata Reka is the main tributary of Stara Reka River. It collects its water from the many tributaries running down the peaks of Kupena, Kostenurkata, Zhultets and Ravnets Massif.
Malkata Reka takes its source from of the very Ambaritsa (Vasil Levski) peak.
The Malka reka River rising just under mountain peak Levski in the Troyan Mountain and the Golyama Reka River taking its source from the southern side of peak Jaltets north of mountain peak Kochmara are considered the source of the Stara Reka River.
The spring tributary of Stryama River is Kameniditsa River, taking its source from the southern foothill of the peak of Vezhen.
Immediately after the Kadravoto Dere gully and climbing a stony hill ending with a narrow rock “porch”, which could be crossed by one donkey only.
The site is located above Karlovo town, the springs of Karamandra river are located there.
This vista site offers marvelous view to the folds of the Stara Reka reserve.
