The Central Balkan National Park is the new home of a bear caught in the Gabrovo region.

The wild animal was captured because the residents of the Bakoytsi neighborhood felt in danger. The bear is male, 4-5 years old weighing over 118 kg. and in good health. The bear was anesthetized with a gentle anesthetic and was transported high in the mountains on the same day, in the Central Balkan National Park, in a place comfortable for the species.

Central Balkan National Park Directorate organizes cleaning in the area of Dermenka hut

The cleaning campaign will be held on November 18 and 19, 2021 in the area of Dermenka hut on the territory of the Central Balkan National Park. It will include employees of the National Park Directorate.

The pedestrian route Ray hut - Botev peak in the Central Balkan National Park is allowed

Adverse weather conditions were the reason for the deteriorating condition of the facilities for safe passage on the trail.
