The movement, stay and parking of motor vehicles is temporarily restricted on the road Troyanski prohod - Dermenka hut in the National Park

The Center is located in the Central Office of the Directorate, at 3 "Bodra Smyana" Street, in the city of Gabrovo. It hosts open classes by employees of the "Central Balkan" NP and events to mark dates related to the nature protection calendar.
The initiative "Let's get to know each other - Central Balkan National Park" presents educational forms and interactive activities - talks, practical activities, competitions, games, film screenings.
The events are aimed at diversifying nature conservation education and getting to know plant life

The "Vezhen" Visitor Information Center (VIC) is located in the "Tsarichina" reserve, near the "Vezhen" hut. It is located in the renovated building of the old hut, preserving its characteristic architectural style and name - "Vezhen". It is equipped with places for activities, for film screenings, interactive modules, models of birds, a relief map of the "Central Balkan National Park, etc.
On the vast lawn in front of the "Vezhen" VIC, there are play facilities for the little ones, a rope garden, a climbing wall and a "green" classroom. Thematic exhibition "Central Balkan - oasis of the wild world" presents in 30 full-color plates - in Bulgarian and in English, the rich variety of plant and animal species in the "Tsarichina" Park and Reserve.
The exhibition, play facilities, outdoor classroom are accessible in suitable tourism weather. Use of the attractions is free. Visits are a good choice for an outing for family and friend groups. There are fireplaces, tables and benches. If you are planning a two-day excursion, the "Vezhen" lodge offers an overnight stay.
"Vezhen" VIC is accessible on foot and by high-passable vehicles, there is a parking lot.
Trails start from the Center area through the "Tsarichina" reserve, which lead to the west to the "Benkovski" hut, to the east to the "Echo" hut, to the south to the town of Klisura and to the north - to the resort village of Ribaritsa.
In accordance with the regimes in the National Park, rules of conduct have been introduced and are in effect, ensuring safety and security when visiting the protected territory.
We expect from you:
Do not violate the rules of conduct.
Use the built infrastructure, facilities and equipment responsibly.
Do not disturb wild animals.
To protect nature - leave behind only the traces of your steps.
Attention! Outside the area of the "Vezhen" PIC, crossing through the "Tsarichina" reserve is allowed only on the marked paths.
Located in the building of the Natural Science Museum in the village of Cherni Osam (Trojan municipality), the Center complements the museum's rich collection, presenting the fauna of the Central Stara Planina, offering its visitors:

The exhibition, facilities and outdoor recreation areas are accessible in suitable hiking weather. Use of the attractions is free. Capacity of the place - up to 80 people. Visits are a good choice for an outing
of family and friend groups.
From the Interpretation Complex you can continue to the interpreted route "Waterholes" and to the "Pleven" hut.
The road to the left of the Vidima HPP branch will take you to the beginning of the interpreted route "On the Way of the Balkans" and to the eco-trail "Vidima Praskalo".
