We Celebrated World Environment Day in the Town of Kalofer
On June 9, in recognition of World Environment Day, experts from the Central Balkan National Park Directorate visited “Hristo Botev” Secondary School in the town of Kalofer. After a brief discussion with the students about the significance of World Environment Day, children from 4th to 7th grade had the opportunity to take part in various eco‑activities aimed at refreshing and enriching their knowledge.
At the first learning station, the Directorate’s experts engaged the children in topics related to environmental pollution, recycling, and the role of humans in nature conservation. The next station focused on protected areas as a means of preserving ecosystems and biodiversity. Here, the students discussed the differences between the various categories of protected areas and explored different types of habitats along with their characteristic species.
