According to the Central Balkan National Park Management plan, Road Kalofer town - Panitsite locality - Botev Peak is with restricted access of until 10 motor vehicles per day and it is allowed only in the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and thought the Bulgarian official rest days from the 1st of June to the 15th of September.Read more >>

Central Balkan is the only Bulgarian park awarded an European Diploma of Protected Areas. This is recognitions of the international significance of the Park, its remarkable natural resources, cultural heritage, traditional social and economic activities and good governance of the territory.
The decision to award the Central Balkan National Park with the European Diploma of Protected Areas was taken on 21 October 2009 by a resolution of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
