Preserving the Places That Keep the Balkans’ History Alive

Near Haidushka Pesn Hut, close to the site where Nikola Voynovski, a prominent figure in Bulgaria’s national liberation movement, lost his life, the Troyan and Teteven Park Protection teams carried out maintenance work around his monument. They cleaned the surrounding area, refurbished the benches, and repaired the information signs.
Central Balkan National Park is home not only to unique natural landscapes, but also to places that bear witness to Bulgaria’s history. Caring for and preserving these sites is an important part of our mission to protect the country’s natural and cultural heritage for generations to come.
