The Fourth Edition of the “Partner of the Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve” Festival Events Is Coming Soon
For the fourth consecutive year, the Central Balkan National Park Directorate will organise the “Partner of the Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve” festival events.
This autumn, the events will be hosted and supported by the two major municipalities located in the southern part of the Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve – Karlovo and Pavel Banya. The events will take place on the following dates and at the following locations:
-
Karlovo – 31 October 2026 (Saturday), at 20th July Square, in front of the Vasil Levski Community Cultural Centre (est. 1861), from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
-
Pavel Banya – 8 November 2026 (Sunday), at Liberation Square, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The festival events will bring together local craftspeople, producers and artists. The programme will also feature creative workshops for children and environmental activities. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover traditional flavours, purchase homemade products and handmade souvenirs, and enjoy musical performances by local groups.
At a dedicated information stand, National Park Directorate staff will provide further information about the region’s UNESCO recognitions – the Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve and the beech forests of the National Park, which form part of a UNESCO World Heritage Serial Property.
In 2026, the fourth edition of these events will also mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Central Balkan National Park as a protected area.
Join us in celebrating this double occasion!
Artists, craftspeople, entrepreneurs, producers, providers of tourism services and representatives of cultural institutions are welcome to participate in the festival events as exhibitors and participants, free of charge, provided they are registered and carry out their activities within the territory of the Biosphere Reserve. The area encompasses the entire territory of the municipalities of Troyan, Sevlievo, Pavel Banya, Karlovo and Anton.
