Victoria Gadzheva is the winner of the competition for the logo of the Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve. The project, created by the talented designer from Kalofer, was ranked first among more than 50 proposals by 27 artists from across the country. The chosen logo depicts the symbol of the Central Balkan National Park - the bear, in which two other components are skillfully woven - the mountain as the main connecting element of the territory and settlements with the presence of people in them, as a symbol of symbiosis between man and nature.
The proposals of the participants were evaluated by a jury composed of representatives of the Central Balkan National Park Directorate and the municipalities falling within the scope of the Biosphere reserve transition zone. The logo design competition is part of the activities under the project "Creating a complete brand of the Central Balkan Biosphere Park", funded through the UNESCO Participation Program.
The selected logo will be presented at an official ceremony, at which the winner's award will be presented - BGN 800, as well as several incentive awards for the projects of Yanita Valcheva, Maria Teofilova, Ivaylo Kubratov, Galya Georgieva and Ioan Dimitrov.
The logo will aim to present the Biosphere reserve as an attractive place with preserved nature, culture and traditions, as well as a good environment for sustainable socio-economic development. It will be used to honor local food and beverage producers as well as tourism service providers within the scope of the Biosphere reserve.
The Central Balkan National Park Directorate expresses its gratitude to all participants who sent their creative proposals and wishes them success and inspiration!
