Children got acquainted with the "Forest around us"

Over 40 children from the school for mountain guides took part in the "Forest around us" holiday, dedicated to Forest Week (April 3 - 9), which Central Balkan National Park Directorate organized together with the Natural History Museum - Cherni Osam village.
The young mountaineers recognized tree species in the vicinity of the Museum and made descriptions of their characteristics. In addition, they did an excellent job of recognizing other Bulgarian species by cones, twigs and bark.
Keeping up with modern trends, students made a social network "Facebook of my tree", learned more about the history of the "Forest Week" initiative and the importance of forests for the protection of biological diversity, water, air.
