After a Central Balkan National Park Directorate employees’ action, an illegally placed van with a surveillance camera and a feeder for wild animals was removed from the territory of the Dzhendema Reserve.
An act of establishing an administrative violation was drawn up for the established facility in the Protected Area, a penal decree was issued, which was confirmed during judicial control. Remains of dead farm animals – cattle, buffaloes, goats, without the relevant identification marks – were repeatedly scattered near the van. Such acts are a serious violation of veterinary legislation. In the meantime, an order was issued to impose a compulsory administrative measure to remove the van from the territory of the Reserve. The person T. D., who placed the van, was invited to remove the facility within the specified period for voluntary compliance, but this did not happen. As a result, by Order of the Director of the Park Directorate – Georgi Krastev, compulsory actions were taken, of which T. D. was notified. He is among the main instigators of the protest actions of livestock breeders and citizens from the region, organized as such in support of nature conservation.
The action, led by Georgi Krastev – Director, involves five employees from the "Control and Security – North" and "Control and Security – South" departments of the Park Directorate, supported by representatives of the Ministry of Interior. Assistance from employees of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency is expected to remove the scattered animal remains according to the relevant regulatory documents.
