We inform you that on September 10, Wednesday, in the Park Section (PS) "Kalofer" the Directorate "Central Balkan National Park" is organizing a meeting to present the methodology for monitoring and assessing the pasture resource applied in the Park.At 11:00 a.m., a visit to a pasture in the Park will be made, where the assessment method will be presented in a visual manner. Starting point for departure: office of the PS "Kalofer" - town of Kalofer.
After the field visit, the Monitoring Contractor under the contract for "Expert assistance in the assessment of pasture resources through the application of the Methodology for annual assessment of natural habitats subject to grazing in the NP "Central Balkan" - experts from the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Studies (IBES) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, will present a presentation in connection with the surveys carried out at the Directorate's office in Kalofer.
The event will be accessible to interested users of pastures in the NP "Central Balkan". The field visit is only permitted for vehicles with a previously issued coordination letter for vehicle access on road No. 60 Kalofer - Botev Peak, in its section to the Zagradenitsa area. In order to optimize the number of cars, it is necessary for travelers to combine before departure, due to the lack of parking space in the pasture area and to avoid excessive traffic on the road. Deadline for submitting applications is 12:00 on September 9.
