The forest around us

In the Forest Week (April 3 – 9), the Central Balkan National Park Directorate together with the Natural History Museum in Village of Cherni Osam are organizing a cellebration for young and old. Through games and funny tasks, everyone will learn more about the forests, its related species and how to protect them.The event will be held in the courtyard of the museum on April 7 (Friday) from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The forest festival began to be celebrated in 1925 under the name "Afforestation Festival" with a duration of 2 days in the month of April. Subsequently, it was regulated that the holiday dedicated to the forest should last 1 week (the first week of April) and was renamed as "Forest Week".
