The "Let's get to know Central Balkan National Park" summer academy for children has ended

The indoor summer academy, organized and conducted by the Central Balkan National Park Directorate and the Local Commission for the fight against antisocial acts of minors - city of Gabrovo, has ended.
Within the framework of the initiative, in June, experts from the Парк дирецторате gave interpretive talks to 136 children from the 2nd to the 4th grade in five schools on the territory of the Municipality of Gabrovo. The Eco Academy was part of the educational program of the Directorate for 2024.
In the activities with the children, issues related to environmental protection, biodiversity in the Central Balkan National Park and the importance of protecting ecosystems and endangered species were discussed, as well as issues related to preparation for mountain treks and the activities of experts on the territory of Park. The classes were held in the form of thematic games in order to provide information to the children in a more accessible way.
The schools received educational and informational materials, and the children received special gifts for their active participation.
