The project for the logo of the Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve, created by Victoria Gadjeva, was ranked first among more than 50 proposals by 27 artists from all over the country, and at the end of last week she received her award of BGN 800, presented by the Director of the Central Balkan National Park – Tsonka Hristova.

The third and the last organized walking tour in the beech forests of the Central Balkan – part of a serial site of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List, took place on Saturday, 11th of September.

The creation of a system of criteria for distinguishing producers and suppliers of products and services operating in the Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve will be discussed at a series of workshops in the cities of Sevlievo, Troyan and Karlovo.

The participants in the free guided tours in the beech forests, part of a serial site from the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List, organized by the Central Balkan National Park Directorate, have been selected.

According to the Central Balkan National Park Management plan, Road Kalofer town - Panitsite locality - Botev Peak is with restricted access of until 10 motor vehicles per day and it is allowed only in the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and thought the Bulgarian official rest days from the 1st of June to the 15th of September.

On the afternoon of July 28, a signal was given for smoke in the area of the road from the Beklemeto resort complex to the Chuchul chalet. The signal was given by Stoyan Zagorchev – a livestock owner from the village of Hristo Danovo (Karlovo municipality) and a user of pasture area on the territory of the Central Balkan National Park.

For the second year the Central Balkan National Park Directorate, in partnership with the Natural History Museum and the Vasil Levski School of Mountain Guides in the village of Cherni Osam, is organizing a children's holiday dedicated to World Ranger Day – July 31.

An annual plan for the use of medicinal plants in Central Balkan National Park, 2020 has been approved

The Central Balkan National Park Directorate organizes free guided tours in the beech forests, part of a serial site on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Three visits are planned in 2021 and three in 2022. They will be of varying difficulty - low, medium and high. The aim is to enable a wider range of people to touch corners of Bulgarian nature that have received international recognition.

In the implementation of some of the activities under the project "Creating a comprehensive brand of Central Balkan Biosphere Reserve ", funded by the UNESCO Participation Program, Central Balkan National Park Directorate announces a competition for a graphic sign (logo) of the Biosphere Reserve.

The project will develop a recognizable brand of the expanded and renamed in 2017 Biosphere Reserve. The brand will contribute to the identification of local products and services, as well as to distinguish them from their counterparts on the market.

The plan outlines the procedures for determining the quantities of mushrooms and wild fruits other than medicinal plants allowed for collection. The quantities are provided in order to ensure environmentally-friendly livelihoods of the population through successful practices to ensure timely implementation of the seasonal campaign for the use of these resources, creating conditions for the development of environmentally friendly livelihoods of the local population.

Based on Art. 60 of the Protected Areas Act, the Central Balkan National Park Directorate organized a public discussion of the implementation of the Мanagement plan of the Central Balkan National Park. The event will take place on July 28, 2021 from 11.00 am in the Art Gallery "Hristo Tsokev" in Gabrovo, in compliance with the current temporary anti-epidemic measures.

By order of the Director of the Central Balkan National Park from June 23 to December 31, 2021, the movement, stay and parking of vehicles on the road Beklemeto locality - Dermenka hut due to repairs. This is a road with free access, according to the Management Plan of tCentral Balkan National Park 2016 - 2025.

The marking represents two horizontal stripes - white and red. It is placed to be visible when entering the protected area.

Rehabilitation activities are carried out within the Contract under the project "Restoration and protection of natural habitats and species in Central Balkan National Park", funded by the Operational Program "Environment 2014 - 2020".
